Help Please...Need Advice/Ideas

Ok everyone, I need your advice...Elena has been in music class for the last year & it has been an amazing experience for her. She loved the classes so much & it was so amazing to see her little personality shine. She now has just 2 music classes left & I want to get something nice as a thank you for her teacher. This woman has a passion for music & passes that on to the children. I'm so glad Elena got to know her...It makes me so sad that Elena can't continue but come September the classes available conflict with her preschool & gymnastics. I have no clue what to get for this amazing & inspiring woman...Advice? Please?

  1. I am a big proponent of a lovely card with a handwritten note of appreciation, and a gift card. Even a small amount - $10 for a favorite coffee shop - is thoughtful and I sure would prefer receiving this over "stuff." In Boise we can get Downtown Gift Cards that work to 30 or 40 restaurants/spas/shops and that's always my go to - something I know they will truly enjoy.

  2. Is this Music Together, or a program like it? Maybe you could think of giving something that the teacher could incorporate into one of the songs? I recall our teacher mentioning that she was so touched when one family contributed some special sea shells they had collected so that the teacher could show them to the class during the "She Sells Sea Shells" song.

If nothing of that sort comes to mind, I totally agree with a heartfelt card being more valuable than anything!

  3. I know the feeling. We are taking "Music Together", and it has been an amazing experience! Is she planning to go on vacation? A bag for a beach (with some touch up to make it personal), a beach towel, a bottle, flip-flops, sun glasses, a nice lotion, sun screen, a book or music...

  4. iTunes gift card. Music for the music teacher. :-)
